There is evidence that our diet has a direct impact on our mental health. If we eat sugary processed foods regularly there is a chance our mood and productivity will suffer.

Skipping food altogether for a day or so is also a good thing to do from time to time. If you give your gut a rest, you can hit the reset button, set a new baseline and start over with some good food the next day.

In the U.S., hardly anyone is without food. Food is available to us everywhere, but our nutrition is often poor. As a result we think of food as a source of pleasure more often than a need for nourishment or survival.

Go for a day without food. Or skip sugar for a few days and see how it makes you feel. I think it we give ourselves a special power when we overcome our desires, instincts and appetites…

There is so much disinformation and conflicting information about what we should eat. The bottom line is – check your diet if you feel bad. The only diet that you should be on is the one that works for you.
