Apple will be at $1 trillion market cap within 6 months.
The company is already within a stone’s throw of that psychological milestone… But several anticipated announcements will mostly drive the stock beyond one trillion dollars.
New iPhone X Form Factor Model Options
Apple is expected to announce at least three new iPhones in the fall.
One of them is expected to be a full screen iPhone with a 6.1 inch edge to edge LCD display with a price starting at around $599-$699… If this is true, it would be about half the cost of the iPhone X.
This would likely cause a massive spike in sales.
Another lower cost iPhone, an upgraded version of the iPhone SE, could also debut in the fall.
The iPhone X form factor would most likely drive new customer acquisitions, but also motivate owners of older model iPhones to make the leap and upgrade.
This could cause another iPhone “Supercycle”… The last time this happened was in 2014 with the iPhone 6 and 6S.
Other Apple $1 Trillion Market Cap Drivers
Apple is also expected to release a new version of the Apple Watch, continue to grow Apple Music and expand the HomePod line.
Apple Watch offers one of the greatest opportunities for an incredible “second act” in copying the most successful consumer product in history, the iPhone.
Apple Watch can already do a lot… However, the Apple Watch has had the same form factor for years.
The Apple Watch Series 4 is expected to have a larger OLED display in the same size, or perhaps a slightly larger case. The Series 4 may offer longer battery life and a broader array of sensors.
Apple Watch sensors make it possible to track heart and blood pressure today. However, new sensors with or without medical watch accessories, could make Apple Watch even more useful for tracking health.
Apple is also expected to announce that Apple Music, a key driver of its services business, has more than 60 million users.
Subscribers to Apple Music will increase as Apple expands its HomePod offerings beyond the high priced, somewhat limited “smart speaker” it has now.
Don’t get me started on Siri.
