Let’s say you have 0.00929204 Litecoin and you want to convert it to 0.000099 Bitcoin. Unfortunately, it seems to be hard to do this for free.1
If you use Coinbase, you convert Litecoin to Bitcoin but only if you log into Coinbase, then switch over to Coinbase Pro and transfer your Litecoin to Bitcoin.
But there seems to be a minimum purchase of Bitcoin on Coinbase Pro in the amount of 0.001 Bitcoin.
So you might have to buy more Litecoin then convert it all to Bitcoin, which seems like a pain.
It would be nice if you could just “transfer all” of a particular crypto into another crypto with a single click.
What is 0.001 Bitcoin Called?
It’s too bad the minimum amount of Bitcoin that can be bought using another crypto on Coinbase Pro doesn’t have a formal name…
Like a “Bitbase” or “Basebit” or something.
As of now, it’s just known as 100,000 Satoshi. One Satoshi is one one hundred millionth of a Bitcoin…
The Satoshi table of Bitcoin value is as follows:
- 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001 ฿
- 100,000 Satoshi = 0.00100000 ฿
- 1,000,000 Satoshi = 0.01000000 ฿
- 10,000,000 Satoshi = 0.10000000 ฿
- 100,000,000 Satoshi = 1.00000000 ฿
If you know of a way to transfer a tiny amount of one crypto for another for free, let me know…! 🙂
