Sam Harris and Yuval Noah Harari believe that free will is a mirage…

It turns out that Seth Godin may not believe in free will either…

But he does believe in dancing.

In his book “What To Do When It’s Your Turn (And It’s Always Your Turn)” Seth writes about the illusion of free will…

The voice in our head, the lizard brain, is akin to a sports caster describing the player and the play…

The “player” is our subconscious after initiating an action, and the lizard brain is just narrating what happened… And we’re just observing it all.

It’s like watching a short film in which the protagonist stars someone you know who looks like you… and you’re yelling at the screen when he or she does something they shouldn’t.

The thing you’re yelling about has already happened… Or is about to happen, and there’s nothing you can do about it except wait for the end of the film.
